The Secrets to Youthfulness

As we age, the body will naturally be slower in producing the needed nutrients. But no worries! Here are some supplements that will give our body that extra boost of youthfulness and help with your journey of ageing gracefully.

Sheep or Deer Placenta

Sheep and deer placenta are full of nutritional goodness for the skin, such as protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. For the anti-ageing aspect, both bring long-term effects as they stimulate the body to repair damaged cells through rejuvenating stem cells and improving muscle repair. The protein also helps collagen and elastin production, which are in charge of improving skin elasticity. With hydrating properties, they reduce sagging and fine lines, resulting in younger-looking and firmer skin. Both placentas help regulate the production of natural oils and speeds up cell turnover rate. As they improves the skin’s renewal process, the appearances of pore size and skin marks are reduced, resulting in healthier, smoother and radiant skin. Deer Placenta, however, is more premium and effective than sheep placenta as it contains higher amounts of Insulin Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1), promoting cell regeneration.

Collagen

Collagen is a very popular product targeting health and beauty, especially for women. It is a protein connecting your tissues, working with elastin to keep our skin elastic. Its primary function is restoring dead skin cells and is especially essential for wound recovery. As we age, collagen production in the body naturally starts to slow down. The collagen loss is not getting replenished quick enough. Thus, the skin becomes drier and has less elasticity, resulting in more pronounced wrinkles, fine lines or cellulite. Hence, many are drawn to collagen products to supplement the body with more of them to reduce the signs of ageing.

Antioxidant

Vitamin A, C and E are the most common yet well-known antioxidants. Vitamin A has been shown to protect against sun damage and may help in reducing the severity of skin burns after too much sun exposure. It is essential for the growth of new skin cells and the maintenance of the top layers of the skin. Vitamin C may be beneficial in skin discoloration, anti-aging sun protection and preventing damage to skin cells caused by free radicals. Vitamins E and C can work synergistically and may help in stabilizing cellular damage that occurs when the body is exposed to UV rays when outdoors.
